Booking an African Hunting Safari made Easy

A short explanation of how easy the process of booking a safari is with ASH Adventures and what you can expect after your arrival in Africa.

For many folks, booking their first African hunt might seem daunting. We understand and have simplified the process, making it as straightforward and transparent as possible. Get in touch through the 'ENQUIRE' link on this website. We'll respond quickly. You'll receive a quotation immediately if you've provided sufficient details. If you have questions or want to make adjustments, please ask.

Flexibility and Booking

We're flexible. Once your package is finalized, we'll ask for a twenty percent down payment. At the same time, we'll ask for your passport details. We'll also need your arrival and departure flight info. After the hunt, the final payment is made in South Africa, and we know which animals you've taken. You can pay by credit card. Visa, Master, and Amex are accepted.

Arrival in Johannesburg

When you arrive at Johannesburg international airport, we'll be waiting for you. Look out for a placard displaying your name. After introductions, we'll travel to the hunting lodge. The drive takes about 90 minutes. Once at camp, you'll meet up with your professional hunter guide and be shown to your room.

Exclusive Use - Our Primary Hunting Camp, A Typical Camp

We never host more than one party at a time at our lodge. You might even have a choice of room. The lodge and facilities, therefore, are for your exclusive use. Our lodge is perfectly suitable for non-hunters and comes with all the necessary amenities: electricity, hot and cold running water, flushing toilet, and lockable en-suite bathroom. Every bedroom has a full-sized double bed fitted with quality linen. Rooms are serviced daily. Your cabin has a small living room area and veranda. For their exclusive use, accommodation units are assigned per hunter, couple, or family.

Meals and Drinks

Meals are enjoyed at the camp restaurant; cabins have a small kitchen equipped with a kettle, microwave, fridge and hotplate, and assorted cutlery and crockery. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included. Portions are generous. In-the-field snacks are provided as required. Light snacks are served at morning and afternoon tea. Unlimited bottled water and soft drinks are included. We cater to every dietary requirement and entertain all reasonable requests. Meat from hunted animals is frequently used in the preparation of meals. Alcoholic beverages in moderation are also included.

Your First Day

After settling in and lunch, we'll begin with target practice, allowing you to sight in or familiarize yourself with the rifle. At the same time, it will enable your professional hunter to assess your skill. Around mid-afternoon you'll head out on the vehicle on your first hunt. Once the spoor is found, you'll track the animal on foot. Your professional hunter will advise as the hunt progresses. You'll return to the lodge at dusk, where you'll have the opportunity to freshen up or shower before dinner.

Other Services

African Sky is also an established tour operator. If the non-hunters in your party prefer not to go along on the hunt, we can arrange guided day tours to various local attractions. As a registered tour operator of long-standing, we have the expertise to easily combine your hunting safari with an extended guided tour or photo safari. We're the only outfitter in South Africa with this capability. Since 1998 we've operated a successful touring operation. We employ numerous registered guides and conduct fly-in and guided overland tours and safaris across southern Africa.
