The luxury Sabi Sand Safari is a three night fly in package to Lion Sands River Lodge which is located in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. The reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park and is generally regarded as the premier private game reserve in South Africa.
If you have been in one or our hunting camps you will be transferred to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg for a flight to the lodge where two open 4x4 safaris are enjoyed daily accompanied by experienced rangers and trackers.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Sabi Sand
Guests are transferred to O>R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. From here they are transferred to a flight bound for the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve .The Sabi Sand is the oldest of the Private Game Reserves in South Africa, and is the birthplace of sustainable eco tourism. The reserve is home to most of South Africa's finest Game Lodges and shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park to its east. The afternoon is devoted to a first open 4X4 safari in the Sabi Sand.

Day 2: Sabi Sand
The day is devoted to two open 4X4 safaris in search of Africa's legendary Big Five. The safaris are led by an experienced ranger whose intimate knowledge of the habits and behavior of the different animals is sure to add to the enjoyment of the experience. A bush walk is also conducted during the day, giving guests the opportunity to come into close contact with some of the plains game species while on foot. The Sabi Sand is famous for its incredible leopard sightings and you will almost certainty have the opportunity of spotting these most illusive of the African cats during your safari in the Sabi Sand.

Day 3: Sabi Sand
An African sunrise colors the sky as guests enjoy an early morning game drive in this area of unique ecology. The Greater Kruger National Park is home to the greatest diversity of different mammal species on the African continent. The late afternoon safari continues into the evening and affords guests the opportunity of spotting the nocturnal creatures of Africa as they go about their daily lives. Most of the predators, most notably the Lion and Leopard are nocturnal hunters and the evening safari might present sightings of these great cats on the hunt.

Day 4: Departure
A last morning game drive is followed by breakfast after which guests are transferred to the airstrip for a flight from the Sabi Sand to Johannesburg. Guests are met upon arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg from where they are transferred to any location of their choice in either Johannesburg or Pretoria or assisted with check in to a connecting flight.
