Accommodation, Catering and Staff
Accommodation in all the hunting areas and concessions range from very comfortable to luxurious. Typically it would consist of bungalows under thatch in the style which is so common in Southern Africa. It can however also take the form of East African Style safari tents. In all cases en suite bathrooms are available. Most of the camps have been built with a commitment to ensuring the minimum impact on the environment. The great care taken to ensure the structures blend in well with the surrounding area is often apparent.

Catering is to a high standard with two full meals and one light meal provided daily . Snacks are always available and we will gladly cater to any specific dietary requirements. Prior to the start of your safari we will enquire as to your food and beverage preferences and also whether you have any allergies which we should be aware of. This information will then be used to plan the safari menu’s and to ensure that the appropriate beverages, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are always at hand.

The success of a safari is determined by a great number of different factors, from the efficient communication and administrative skills of office staff who are instrumental in the planning stages of the safari to the commitment and dedication of the professional hunters who accompany the client. The attention to detail displayed by the camp staff, and the precision skills required by skinners in trophy preparation all contribute to the overall success.

We are a small company in which each individual is highly qualified to fulfill the role he is to play in the success of your safari. Of course not each member of the team possesses the same skills but the combination functions like a well oiled machine and we are all committed to ensuring each of our clients depart from Southern Africa with memories of an exceptional hunting safari in one of the world’s most remarkable areas.

At African Sky the focus is on the entire safari experience of which hunting is the most important but definitely not the only part. A general focus on the natural environment as well as some interesting information about the history and highlights of each of the areas we visit will also be provided by your professional hunter.

The vehicles and other equipment we utilize are maintained to the highest standard for we realize the importance of well functioning equipment in remote areas and difficult situations. Vehicles are 4X4 and have been specially fitted with equipment which could make the difference between a quick recovery or half a day spent waiting for assistance.
